Chicken Adobo [Filipino]
So, I worked at Cedar's for a few years; the morning crew were Russian Jews and the night crew along with most of the floor satellite techs were Filipino. About once a month, we'd have a potluck on the weekend. OMG .... the food was so amazing!!
Lumpia
I remember Adobo, chocolate sauce, balut, pancit, rice, lumpia and from my Russian coworkers, coleslaw, dumplings, soup, stuffed cabbage ... Gawd!
There are Filipino restaurants in Panorama City and in Glendale.
If you've never had Filipino food ..... RUN!! Every Mother's Day weekend, St. Robert's up on the hill has a carnival. Burbank is blessed with fairly large Filipino population at all three Catholic churches. We took the kids to the carnival and to my surprise, there was Filipino food for sale. Yum yum!!
If you go to one of the carnivals, do it for the food & go to Max's; pricey but tasty!!

Emerson elementary also had carnivals and the Korean moms would make Korean food for sale; rice and beef. Jesus!! Unbelievable. lol I raised my kids to embrace everyone, all colors, religions, cultures ... and if you make Kimchi or kebob, we love you just a bit more. I love Korean food and am so grateful for our Korean population in Burbank.
If you've never had Korean food; beef and Kimchi, I suggest the Submarine King on Olive. Holy cow!! Amazing and the staff are about as nice as you could want someone to be. I suggest the beef bowl with kimchi or sandwich with kimchi.
Next is Mama Hong's in Burbank; specializing in Vietnamese cuisine. More Yum. I haven't been but I've been told that it's amazing. It's on my restaurants to go to.

I am not a fan of Thai food; I've tried and it just doesn't it for me. But I've heard Saraya Thai, on Olive is the best! I've talked to them, though, and they are very nice and hospitable folks.

Enjoy, broaden your horizon and go out and try some new food!!
